I could have sworn I asked this before and got a big fat "no" but is there a program/script out there yet that will take a bunch of tiles in a directory and create minimaps for them all?

Tileset Creator by Joco/DLA will do it. You need to have all the textures in the same directory, but otherwise it can create minimaps for the entire set or any number of tiles.
