Removed from list (broke my plans to just list the tilesets alone for there are too many good tilesets to just exclude and alot of Retextures and reskins)
The (Elemental) Plane of Cheese

The Elemental plane of cheese by "Sir Attilla" is a funny example how much of a crazy verity there is of Custom content made by the community.

The Arcane Space Tileset
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=2995
This is a wicked collection for the sci fi space adventure Spelljamer. the reviewed tileset alone "wildspace" does not give this justice vs the great amount of space placeable in this set to enhance a space experience. in combination with this haks placeables and wildspace this would be the best space tileset on this list, But the tileset alone would loose a match vs GHI Aethyr and Outer Limits.

Here I get myself into another Pickle maybe with custom content Authors. This is included in GHI Aethyr that offers this and much more.

44. PHoD Metal Wastelands Tileset

45. PHoD Metal City Tileset

46. PHoD Metal Crypt Tileset
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view...150190&id=7632
PHoD did work up some wicked heavy metal tilesets here. but for a fantasy setting that is a wild amount of metal to use and more fitting into a sci-fi Modern d20 or space and abyssal setting. hurts me to remove and I hope the D20 team has this listed amoung a good list there. Has me thinking of changing the name of this list to "top 100 nwn1 fantasy tilesets".

Abyss by Elesias
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... ail&id=130
Very wicked Looking tileset but some of its effects can already be done by scripting means nowadays cept the Rain of blood. warrent this is a old tileset also and Razare's Dungeon City and Tiggs Hellish caves captures this setting slightly more.
----------------------
Darkend Ruins Reskin
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=7784
still in beta stage and needs a few issues worked out, will keep an eye on this before the year is over.

The Fire Plane Version 2.0
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=3006
a poster notes a few issues and very unlikely for this to be worked on by the submiter again to fix since 2003.
----------
Tree City Enhanced
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=3136
is also in JXP forest that includes this and more.
------------------
Underground Temple
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=7076
this is a great tileset but needs work on corridors and is unfinished by JDA as of 2006. would be great if someone tried to make contact with JDA to finish it so this tileset would get on this list.
---------------
Yuanti Temple
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=7726
if youve read the Forum chat here I had WAY tooo much high hopes for this tileset.
I didnt see anything really Yuanti with this. doesnt really add much vs what could be done in the standard tilesets.

Many o listings from Tiggs.
Tiggs has a great amount of castle reskins with extra goodness. but just like the same reasons I merged all the shadow realms into one listing. changing the listing of Castle Interior Expanded to Castle Interiors by Tiggs . They are all just as good and near the same.

Changing the ever so popular Mondego Rocky Mountains to 1 listing to his Page title.
They are all three really good and are about the same in value for wanting.

BTH swamp 1 listing insted of two for each tileset in it that is both just as wicked.
----------
Removed 70. Drylands tileset hi version
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view....Detail&id=957
reason is it has overrides that I was wanting to avoid listing and just only tilesets I can trust that will not conflict with any thing.
---------------
Removed Foothills that is included in JPX Mountains.
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=1497
Complete Rural/city and Wayland Harvest Hills includes these foot hills also and much more
--------------
removing 75. Red Granite flats
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=2453
there are two tilesets within this set and they are really near the same with a slight difference adjustment to the standard Forest tileset. just changing my mind on listing this twice for both. A good useable tileset but not the greatest to really rave about twice on its slight differences.
-------------
removing CCS (city/castle construction set)

imported into Complete rural/city

removing Moria Walls (non overide) and Elven halls (overwrite)
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=7763
My first time looking at this set from the screen shots and the demo module the ability to create your own sized dwarven halls is great but due to the confusing info on the submission page I could not figure out how to emulate the demo module halls. I shouldnt of givin up on this one I feel but the page is very hard to understand what haks to use the overwrite ones and what do they overwrite? what set to use cus they both look the same in the toolset and in game. Was to hard for me to figure out and im ready to move on. sadly the submitter posted they were leaving the game due to personal issues with other CC creators and seems unlikely for this set to get a update or better info. I would feel bad but thankful if someone else found out how to create these long halls and it was so easy i was complexing the tileset.

Space the final frontier
Here to review four different Space tilesets.
Space Tileset by NinjaweaselMan
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=7305
Seems more about the skybox included in this hak then the adjustments to the Microset tileset. BUt for a wicked suspened in space feel for a story aspect such as a dreamscape, inbetween worlds or at the presence of a diety this is perfect for that quite a few module authors have already found use for.
--------------
The Arcane Space Tileset by the Arcane Space Team
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=2995
details about this team and more features for their space themed adventures can be found at their website .
http://www.mysticnexus.com/ArcaneSpace/
Wildspace being the main tileset in this hak that also includes the Atmosphere Tileset. The complete download for this is more Sci-fi SpellJammer themed that is not the focus of this list. But have to note there is other amazing content offered by this team within this hak.
the wildspace tileset is at its best along with placeables made from this team that would make this space tileset the best on this list. A word of advice is to adjust the placeables hight level to make things seem more visualy random. The Nebula is a wicked experience but it looks slightly genaric with in the Wildspace Tileset. This hak download has a amazing amount of content but Wildspace alone would not match up to Outer Limits and GHI Aethyr as a Fantasy tileset that is the focus of this list. A must and a great download anyways to check out!
---------------
Outer Limits by Lord of Worms
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=6355
This tileset is included into the old archives within the Extreme Tilesets collection by Lordofworms. Visualy stunning on the ground mostly.
---------------
GHI Aethyr Tileset
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=7386
Collection of works and credits in the download notes.
This is a Wicked Tileset with floating moving space rocks. the Floating islands are impresive. this also includes Ninjaweaselmans Votex Skybox where you could give the same suspended in space feel and more. the best Space Tileset in this list.

reskin and retexture cuts
I am to the point where I am mostly going to have to cut alot of retextures and reskin tilesets and make room for some very likely new original tilesets that might be created before the end of the year. if not I will re add alot of these to the list. Just depends on how great of a feature to enhance the areas and really comes down to more a matter of opinion then actual greatness with removing any of these listed here in the future.
these are bumpable from the main list.

ranking by downloads
The NWN Vault score system is a lil off vs downloads. Chating with folks from the community ive had many tell me that they have gone by downloads insted of the score and comment combo. You need a IGN account to score and comment but not one to download. Time is also a factor that some of these tilesets are pretty new or recently updated and were not released during the prime years of NWN to get the greatest amount of reviews and plus there is my reason for doing this list cus it is a mess on the vault with all the repackages and reposted small updates on a new page. There is still more I wish to do with this list and not go completely by this download ranking that is only a small factor for this list. Seems alot of you here at RPG Modding dig this topic so here is a list by Download ranking.
Chatting with folks from the community ive had many tell me that they have gone by downloads insted of the score and comment combo.
Unless you are me, in which case you daftly provide two links only one of which (the least accessible one) will add to your download count. Something I only just realized about my own.
*Tybae-style facepalm*
Its worth noting that:
1) just because you download something doesnt mean you actually like it, thats why you download - to find out if you like it or not :thumb:
2) if you get voted less than, say, a 9.5 chances are you're either being trolled, your work is abysmal, or you've attracted a conscientious voter who doesn't follow the 10 = good, 9 or below = terrible system that everyone else does :p
3) all votes before a certain date (the date I forget) are collapsed into a single vote, so something can say 1 vote and actually have hundreds

Thanks for the input Six. Yeah ive always personly felt something isnt right about the score system and also the motivation on folks to vote and that even goes for myself. I will end up giving a comment and post a review after I organize all of this. Some of the other things I wish to learn before even trying to rate these tilesets is learn more about the CTP teams process of bug hunting. CTP team has been really nice to give me tours before of their work but it might require too much work on my part too. hard telling with 6 more months to go.
Next im going to research each tileset listed here and find out who all was involved with them based on what credits I can find. This is something I fear might piss off someone out there if my Psychic abilities dont tell me who and what they did on a tileset and if I exclude anyone due to a lack of credits. but say for example the Community made Rocky mountains 2.2 that inspired Lord Rosenkrants to make his wicked Rocky mountains I will enter Rocky mountains into the Vault search and read all related info i can find and then write up a review on each tileset and comment on the other talented stuff the creators are also known for.
I do worry about putting these tilesets into a ranking order cus it is all really just a matter of opinion that anyone could give. I know there will be some to agree and disagree with it. But I have a stronger feeling that alot of these will be pretty new to folks that just havnt had them presented like this and would serve a better goal no mater what kind of ranking order there is. Or no ranking order at all!
It being summer time the NWNPodcast is a lil busy for us all to review all of these right away and likely wont till the Fall Season.
I am very thankful for all the comments and help
I hope this List looks good to you all so far?

Oh, is that so? Personally I wouldn't rule out that lord rosenkrantz might have been inspired by real life mountains, but what do I know about him?
On a more serious note, I keep spotting slight but snide implications every time my name is mentioned here (even ruling out posts that were quickly deleted after being published), and that bit of flattery here and there gives me the impression it serves the purpose of hiding the snide remarks. I am wondering if we wouldn't be better just coming to the point openly instead of keeping on with this kind of subtle games. We are both adult and thick-skinned, and I'm sure we can discuss things without losing control.
[edit]
Of course, in case I was wrong with the above, and there was nothing to bring up to open discussion, I'd rather not find my name constantly mentioned across the thread as an example of things.

The first time ya posted in this topic I was sick with a summer flu and on meds and I really didnt know how to take your comments other then with some hostility at the time. Sometimes I can be too quick to bang heads also. I am a human.
the snideness is your imagination. not gonna kiss yer butt that I digg your tilesets. Ive even tried to interview you before for the NWNPodcast and still would. I wont walk on egg shells with you and not going to here also. In a more constructive manner I do suggest you chill out and quit reading into things too much trying to find trouble.
(edit) I just saw your edit and I agree lets just delete these comments and continue on as friends like we have been and have more reasons to be friends insted of enemies.
mentioning your name your going to have to deal with. your tilesets are on this list, Everyone knows of your tilesets. this is a review.

You misunderstand me. The impression I was getting was exactly that you felt like you need to add a bit of flattery to compensate the fact that I could not like what you were saying. Put in your words, I don't like being butt-kissed, and everybody who does immediately loses much of my respect. So I'm glad to hear you are not gonna do that.

Otherwise that will necessarily lead me to imagine you are just carrying on with the hostile attitude. It's just human.
So in a nutshell, stop mentioning my name or my tilesets as an example of anything, and I won't be led to read anything behind it. There are a lot of other ways to give examples that do not involve mentioning someone you just had an hostile exchange of posts with, don't you agree?

What was said was said. Human beings have enough intelligence to disregard it when necessary though, and I believe we and the other readers belong to that category.
